01: Basics of Sketching
This video is a test of how I'll teach, but I did have quite a few technical issues which makes it not flow as well as I like. Watch it and please provide me feedback while I write the text of the lesson. If everyone thinks it's good then I'll clean it up a bit more and add some intro/outro content.
Materials List
The materials are really simple to start drawing:
- PRISMACOLOR Ebony Pencils
- A sketch book, preferably with a ring binder or similar "lay flat" binding.
- A kneaded eraser. In the video I keep saying "gum eraser" but that's a slightly different eraser (which I did not know). You don't need to get Prismacolor brand, I'm just linking to what it looks like.
- A pencil sharpener and/or a small exacto knife or box cutter knife. You probably already have one lying around your house.
That is it. If you want a pencil case then you can visit almost any stationary store to find them. I like the ones that Muji and Daiso sell.
