6 Learning OpenGL Videos

I've spent the last 3 weeks learning OpenGL purely out of hate. I started to learn it last year but got so angry at the ridiculous quality of the code examples that I really couldn't continue. I realized that I would be forced to clean up the terrible code I see (again) just to make sense out of whatever was being taught. Then 3 weeks ago I got annoyed at yet another person defending this OpenGL resource that I decided I would force myself to go through it and point out every flaw and fix the code as I go.

It's a Labor Day Sale I Guess

I sent a sale at the beginning of September intending for it to be only 3 days...and then as usual forgot. Me and time do not have a consistent relationship so when I realized it was Labor Day I decided that this will just be the end of a Labor Day weekend sale.

Nothing's changed, the original 3 Day Only Sale is still going until tomorrow at the end of Labor Day in the US and then I'll be posting a new course shortly after that. See the sales below.

It's Not You, It's Bad Code

Let me tell you right now, the content of these videos is laid back, but I'm highly critical of the resource I'm using. It's so bad I'm not even going to mention it here, and I'll have a full critique of it after I'm through it. These first 6 videos are the start. I'm actually on day 25 and I've managed to get a sky box with instanced glass humanoid models I create in blender to load. As I've said before, none of this graphics content is actually difficult. What makes this stuff difficult is the insanely bad quality of the educational material.

I could go on, but I'll let you just casually watch these videos while you work and you can decide for yourself. They're taken from my live streams but I cut out everything I can that's side chatter or that makes it difficult to watch casually while you work. If you hear me saying, "What are you talking about?!" Then take a look and see if you agree with me:

Learning OpenGL in 2026 Playlist

All 6 videos are there in the playlist, and I go from nothing to having a working camera by day 6. I also take some time to throw in some jank Box2D code for fun and later I make some of my own models to load.

20% Off All of These Courses

That's all for the ideas, now for the sales. Thanks for your consideration, and have a great weekend.
